Giveaway Time!

I feel like giving something away because... I'm approaching my 6th anniversary of blogging, I just hit 10 followers, because giveaways are fun.

Mostly because giveaways are fun.

This sucker's called the O Happy Day Giveaway.

I'm giving away on package with three things I love, three things that are very, very me.  So I know I'm going out on a limb a little bit, and may only get ten entries, but I want to share these things with the wonderful, wonderful people who read my blog.  The winner will receive a package during the Octave of Easter containing:

One batch of my chocolate chip cookies.
About three years ago I spent months trying recipes, looking for the perfect chocolate chip cookie.  Chewy on the inside, a little crisp on the outside. Soft, thick, absolutely delicious. Nothing got it right. Then my friend Katie gave me a copy of America's Test Kitchen's chocolate chip cookie recipe and the search was done.   They explained the science of why the recipe works, which was really interesting, and when we tasted them we realized we would never use another chocolate chip recipe again.
(Readers with allergies, please read the Terms and Conditions on the Rafflecopter widget below.)

One cd (not really a cassette like what's pictured here, but it looks so cool and nostalgic) filled with a great mix of music.  Some of it may be familiar from my 7QT songs but some of it may be new. All of it will be fun.

One super cute, hand made scarf crocheted by my friend Katie.
I do this thing in the spring and autumn where, even though I should be wearing a jacket I don't. Instead I put on a cardigan and a scarf and consider myself sufficiently bundled. Since I'm usually having pregnancy or post partum hot flashes this works very well for me. Hopefully you'll love this scarf as much as I do and it'll help keep you warm through the blustery months of Spring. And, seriously, how great are those buttons?  Love it!

So a one package in the mail + one batch of chocolate chip cookies + one cd of music + one beautiful scarf = O Happy Day!

So enter away! The give away will close on March 16th.

If we don't win we'll have to search for the recipe and make our own batch for the Octave! Lenten Blessings to you as you journey forward!

  4. OK, ATK is my source for all recipes, and these are the only choc. chip cookies we'll ever make. They are so so so so good. As for music, I don't know if you blogged about it, but whenever I hear Little Talks I think of you (is that weird?)

Also, giveaways like this make me wish I was on Twitter!!!!

  12. I will enter because I want those cookies. And I know that this is all random so my pity party won't help my case, but my tiny 40 year old cabinet oven just kicked the bucket. Parts for it would be impossible to find and/or prohibitively expensive and we aren't going to replace it with another tiny oven because that would be dumb (we have 3 kids going on a dozen already so we're thinking we want something bigger then a large toaster oven). We need to rearrange things and get new cabinets to make room. Long story shorter, we will get a new oven when we can afford a new kitchen remodel. And I would love some cookies for Easter. Please pick me. :)
