Today we will celebrate with french fries for James (his favorite) and a special coffee drink for me.
Dinner will consist of a hearty Midwestern meal of meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Delish.

I didn't realize today was his special day, thanks! I love Fulton Sheen so much and actually just bought Treasure in Clay today to give to my husband for Christmas. Coincidence, I think not!

ReplyDeleteIsn't it something; he died on the feast day of St. Juan Diego, who through his media of the day, the miraculous tilma, shouting out the glory and love of God through Mary, the conversion of millions of people came about. Especially when the time was so grave with the millions of Europeans leaving the Church in the Reformation, our Lady replenished the world with just as many new Catholics in the new world. Fulton Sheen, through his mass media, the television, brought God's word and love, and mercy to millions who would otherwise probably never learned about the Catholic faith. Juan Diego was a messenger, and so was Fulton Sheen. What a good day to share a feast day!
