In my newest Knot Bad Video I talk about how I get my home ready for Lent. There's two basic things I do to try to mark the Lenten season in my home. It's nothing too earth shattering, but it makes a big difference for us and hopefully my suggestions will inspire someone who is looking for a way to observe Lent.
Because people have asked, the image of Eve and Mary can be purchased here from the contemplative nuns at Our Lady of the Mississippi Abbey. It's so beautiful!

Bonnie! Remind me again of the site where you got that image of Mary and Eve? I remember it being a chocolates site run by some Sisters? The pic is at 3:40 of the video.
ReplyDeleteHey Meg, thanks for asking! I updated the post as well, but the print can be purchased from the nuns at Our Lady of the Mississippi Abbey. The link is below, or you can click above (just under the video).

ReplyDeleteThis is so helpful! I haven't yet figured out how to observe Lent in my adult life. We are moving next week too so these are great suggestions on decorating and setting up our new home with Lent in mind. Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I can't believe I've never put the idea of Lent and spring cleaning together. It was right under my nose the whole time. So cool! I love these videos!
ReplyDeleteThere are those blog posts you read that make you think "That's a clever suggestion, why didn't I think of that?" And then there are those blog posts you read that make you feel utterly convicted because you know this is an area in your life that needs attention. Bonnie, this post was the latter for me. I've never in my whole life done a spring cleaning and now I know what I'm doing this Lent. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI feel like you just welcomed me into your home and we had a fabulous conversation...your suggestions will be on my mind as I consider what the Lord wants Lent to look like for my family this year--thanks friend!
