I know tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I really shouldn't be talking about this yet, but I found something, got really excited, and wanted to share it right away. The pumpkin pies are baked, one batch of rolls is in the oven and the other batch is rising. I have time - right now! - to share this with you and I'm taking advantage of right now.

This year will be the first year in quite a few that I'll be able to send out Christmas cards. I am actually really, really excited. I love getting Christmas cards. I hang on to them all year and love looking at them. If you've ever sent me a card - thank you.
Over the past few years I've noticed that while most people now send out the standard Christmas photo card printed at WalMart or Walgreens, some still sent out the traditional card-cards, and some had found a really cool blend of the two. Traditional Christmas cards + really personal cards. I don't know what they've used, but I just found Minted and all their super amazing Christmas (and holiday) cards.
Look at them! This is just a few of their options:
"2014 in a Nutshell" with cute graphics to go with all the details from the year + a picture to boot! I could include the new house, 3 kids in school, all the awesome speaking engagements...
My family could be trendy with a FOX - the "It" animal of the year.
Isaiah's prophecy + a picture of the kids. Love it.
A simple, elegant "Merry Christmas" that keeps Christ in Christmas.
I love the chalkboard lettering and the cute saying which would definitely fit our family with our five kids.
I love these little Christmas soldiers. So cute!
My favorite Christmas carol of all, with beautiful typography. Love.
As a baker, I totally love this! And they let you personalize it so I could include my chocolate chip cookie recipe!
And then for FREE they will give you these cute envelopes with all your addresses PRINTED ON THEM!!!!
As I was snooping around their website I wanted to learn a bit more about the website and the people behind it. Who were the guys making these unique, gorgeous, whimsical, personalized cards?! Honestly, I was pretty impressed when I read their About statement:
We believe that great design lives and thrives in the hands of independent artists that people do not have access to through traditional retailers. Minted uses technology to allow consumers to discover great creative talent, making Minted a place where artists can learn, gain exposure, and build their businesses.
And that, folks, is why I really decided to share this online shop with you.
Oh! And they have a really great blog. I love blogs that show design, decorating, party, and seasonal ideas - I could get lost for hours on it.
But anyways, the cards. Oh man, the cards. Minted! Now I need to figure out which one I'll actually order. I'm so excited to send out Christmas cards for the first time in years!
Okay. That's all. I just had to get it out there. And now
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
God bless you and all those you love and serve.

ReplyDeleteHUGE fan of Minted! Those are all gorgeous Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteI am snapping photos of my gang this weekend for our fam Christmas card....may have to try Minted this year!
ReplyDeleteI have been droolling over Minted's Christmas cards for a few weeks and trying to decide if it is worth the splurge. I think I'm going to take the splurge... Christmas only comes once a year, after all!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I wish I had seen this before! I just ordered some boring ones from Costco.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I haven't heard of Minted and I tend to stick with Shutterfly (or TinyPrints) because of their awesome deals. In fact, my cards from Shutterfly came in the mail today...yayyy!
ReplyDeleteI don't think we'll be doing Christmas cards this year (trying to simplify, esp with a new baby coming in a few weeks!) but I do LOVE them. You had some great picks!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! Thanks for the tip!
