Suggestions?

I'm wanting to take a break from the baby books and read a good novel. Can anyone make any good recommendations?

    The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. Excellent book if you haven't already read it. Best book I've read in a long time.

    In the Time of the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez. Great, easy book. The Princess Diaries. WONDERFUL!

    A Thread of Grace. Wonderful fiction.The Violent Bear it Away, by Flannery.

    Have you ever read Crime and Punishment? It is my all time favorite novel.
